Using the CD on Hunter would have been a really great way to use it. I feel like there are so many ways she could have put it to good use, and she used it without really considering what she was doing. I'm wondering now if the cd will have any Monkey's Paw-like consequences. Hmmm...

Bill gets on my nerves so bad! He is such a little nerd in the books. If she ends up with Bill, I will lose my ever lovin' mind! lol

You're right. That Quinn conversation has got to be a huge set up for the next book. I bet the next book will involve Sookie and Quinn trying to find his child. So she could possibly end up with him.I would actually kind of like that ending because I like ole Quinn and his bald head. lol

I don't think she'll end up with Alcide either and that Joe Manganiello is a perfect Alcide!

I am actually a team Alcide person. If not him the Quinn. Sam would be choice 3. I am sure Alcide won't be the guy though. he is just amazing & Joe Manganiello is the perfect man to play Alcide in True Blood. I don't agree with any of the other cast.
Anyway, I didn't like Eric at all in this book. I just don't feel the love between them. I thought Eric was way to selfish (more so than normal) and distant.
I thought Sookies conversation with Quinn was interesting. I think that he will play a role in the next book because I couldn't see any reason for their conversation other than as a prelude for what's to come.
Sam doesn't bother me that much. He truly cares for Sookie. He will always be there for her. He just needs to man up a little.
I am also curious to know what happened to Bill's "sister".

I thought Sookie would have used the CD on Hunter to get rid of his telepathy... or to get pregnant by her vampire hottie. I was shocked at the outcome... and I really don't like how Bill is weaseling his way back into the plot (I've never liked Bill). Like you, I have been reading this series for years and have grown to love the characters as I would close friends. Funny how that happens.

This book sounds fantastic. A NYC setting always piques my curiosity and Cora sounds like an intriguing character. What an eye-opening summer she seems to have. It interests me, too, that Cora and Louise Brooks are such different women yet the changing times for women and women's issues impact both of them.
Your enthusiasm and love for this book encourages my interest in reading it.
Thank you for your terrifiv review!

I had the SAME thought about the focus of the book. I was expecting to read about Louise, but I loved that the book was about Cora. She was just such a good protagonist to talk about the issues you mentioned. I'm excited to think about this book when I'm in NYC too!

I can definitely relate to that feeling of excitement reading about a plan that you'll be going - I always pick up books about the places I'll be visiting!

Thanks for being a part of the tour! I KNOW you'll have a ton of fun at BEA next month. :)
