“Super Scary”
Just two little words and somehow I managed to lose track of exactly how many times my buddy, Megan Jordan of Velveteen Mind said them to me in the premiere episode of Ghost Hunting Moms. The new web series in which Megan and I do our best to track down ghosts at some of the Gulf Coast’s most haunted locations for Babble.com is not, in fact, super scary.
It’s more like pretty scary with a dash of hilarity.
See, out of the two of us, I’m the “badass” of our little duo. Now, some of you are probably thinking Wait a sec, Mandy is not a badass at all. If she’s any kind of ass, it’s more like a smart ass. You are absolutely right to think that, because I’m definitely not a badass. However, Megan is so scared of the possibility we’ll see a ghost that I actually come across looking a tiny bit brave.
Put in Scooby-Doo terms, Megan is Shaggy (Zoinks!) and I’m Thelma. (Not that Megan looks like Shaggy. She is definitely a Daphne as far as looks go. I, however, am strictly a Thelma all around. Not that there’s anything wrong with looking like Shaggy. Okay! Now I’m on a tangent.)
In the first episode of Ghost Hunting Moms, Megan and I check out a “super scary” haunted law firm, and we try to confirm the tale of the mysterious woman in white. We also poke fun at time honored ghost hunting rules along the way! Click here to watch the first episode of Ghost Hunting Moms.
