Yesterday, while perusing the booths at the ALA (American Library Association) conference, my mother came across a book called Boo: The Life Of The World’s Cutest Dog by J.H. Lee with photos by Gretchen LeMaistre (Chronicle Books) . She excitedly called me over and exclaimed over how cute the dog was, how my son would love it, etc. However, I couldn’t exactly process what she was saying because I was awestruck at just how mesmerizingly cute Boo is. Basically with the exception of my children, Boo is the cutest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. I’m sorry I keep saying cute, but really, it is the perfect word to describe the tiny bear-like creature. Don’t believe he’s that cute? Have a look for yourself:
Just look at that wittle face! So, I went home last night and raved about Boo to my entire family. We looked Boo up online and found out that he has over a million Facebook fans. Boo is quite the phenomenon.
After a night spent with my two little ones oohing and ahhing over pictures of Boo on his Facebook page, I awoke this morning with Boo on the brain. When I got to ALA today I immediately found the Chronicle Books booth to look through the book again. I stood there and looked at every picture. I think their publicity people probably think I’m a total weirdo, but I don’t care. I had to get my Boo on. Every page of the book contains a picture that is cuter than the one before it. He’s adorable. I finally managed to detach myself from their display copy and went on my merry way. But not before taking one last picture:
