British Dressed as a Power Ranger

My son British loves the Power Rangers. In fact, he loves them so much his 3rd birthday party was Power Ranger themed complete with a Power Rangers cake and bouncer. He is so wild about them that last Christmas I was forced to add the word Megazord to my vocabulary when the robotic looking er…um… beast (?)  was all he wanted from Santa that year. So, when I received an email from One2One Network about participating in a PR project for Power Rangers: Samurai I immediately jumped at the chance.

power-rangers-samuraiDid you know that Power Rangers is in its 19th season? Yep, they’ve been around THAT long! The 19th season marks the Power Rangers move from Disney to Nickelodeon, and there are more than a few changes in store for the Power Rangers with the latest version of the popular show. British and I watched the premiere episode of Power Rangers: Samurai on Monday night, and we loved it. British’s favorite part of the show had to be the cool swords that the Power Rangers fight with this season! Every time a fight scene came on British was off the couch running around the living room fighting with his fellow rangers. I’m glad my son loves Power Rangers: Samurai, because along with the cool fight scenes he loves, the writers manage to sneak in story lines that involve teamwork and standing up for what’s right. It is this attention to core values that has kept me encouraging British’s interest in the Power Rangers.

emPowerREV_redIn addition to the new show, PowerRangers.com has launched a program called emPower. Through public service announcements, school programs, and the Power Rangers’ website and Facebook page, emPower hopes to inspire children to put the Power Rangers’ values (standing for what’s right, teamwork, confidence, health and friendship) to work in their communities. Check out PowerRangers.com for ways your child can participate in this worthwhile program.

Power Rangers: Samurai airs every Sunday at noon and repeats on Saturdays at noon.

We are a netflix/DVD only house, so my son Syrus’ favorite series right now are Blue’s Clues, Kai Lan, and Word World. He is 2.5, so Power Rangers is not so far in his future, I think. :)

BTW- British is a fantastic name. Love it.
